Niagara-on-the-Lake Wastewater Treatment Plant

Niagara-on-the-Lake requires a new plant to increase the capacity and efficiency of wastewater treatment, reduce noice and odours, and help protect the environment. This project incorporates the following scopes with Procon providing all Electrical, Mechanical and Instrumentation services for:

  • New Headworks building c/w raw sewage screening, grit removal, alkaline dosing system and administration area
  • Aeration Tanks
  • Secondary Clarifiers
  • Service Building c/w aeration system, RAW & WAS pumping system, coagulant storage and dosing system
  • Disinfection Building for sodium hypochlorite and sodium bisulphite systems
  • Sludge thickening building
  • Anaerobic digester system
  • Odour control system
  • New 600V/2000A Substation
  • 800KW standby generator
